Start with your airbox or intake

For a replacement in the original airbox, check the exact model, year and product reference. If the intake has been modified, the original vehicle application may no longer describe your setup.

For a clamp-on filter, compare the connection diameter, filter dimensions and available space. Even a product described as universal needs to match the intake it will attach to.

Check the care instructions

“Washable” tells you about servicing the filter; “pre-oiled” tells you how it is supplied. Follow the care instructions for the exact product when choosing cleaners or filter oil, as the same products will not necessarily suit every filter.

Filter, kit or cover?

Check the contents if you need a cage or mounting parts as well as the filter. Read the supplied-parts list before ordering a kit in place of a replacement filter alone.
